Calling all Nassau County shops/
venues open to hosting games!
Building Safe Spaces for Kids.
It all begins with an idea. What if a trusted library children’s entertainer was available at reduced cost AND greater availability AND you don’t have to host?!
By “Support Local Business” I mean to connect with shops and places near existing library programs and cross-pollinate: businesses provide space for small games (less per child than a private booking), we promote the store to families and friends and help promote a world outside of their phones and computer screens.
We all want safe, structured and regularly offered activities to help children learn and develop skills like reading, math, social problem solving and the arts.
Please reach out HERE with questions and hopefully local businesses with whom we can connect. We are currently: working with a Chess Store and Tabletop Space in Massapequa, as well as, sharing space with a successful children’s camp around Huntington and will have more details to come.
Love for the Libraries!
We love our libraries and also understand budgetary and scheduling limitations of public programs. Many of these events conflict with after school clubs, sports and other organizations. In my experience, experimenting with different times or days of the week lead to drastic attendance differences.
As a kid I did not understand programs at the library were free, though few and far between, and the more frequent recreation center clubs and activities were paid for and some parents could not afford them. I would love to bridge that divide.
I offer fully private games, you may CLICK HERE to learn more. Earnings are donated to match library funds and increase the free-to-play Library Programs!
